Description
The goal was to create a cohesive visual identity that reflected the brand’s mission to connect diverse communities and provide engaging experiences in multiple arenas (nightlife, art, education, etc.) The challenge was to design a brand that appeals to a broad demographic while remaining authentic, simplistic, and inclusive.
This logo embodies the core philosophy of All of the Above—a community-driven platform where diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences take center stage. Instead of demanding attention, it provides a flexible visual identity that seamlessly integrates into any collaborative space, event, or partnership. The subtle stretching of some letters symbolizes expansion, fluidity, and the ever-evolving nature of the community. Just as the platform makes space for different perspectives, the typography reflects a sense of openness and adaptability. The simplicity of the logo and its understated nature ensures that the message of inclusivity isn’t dictated by design but rather by the people and interactions that define the platform. The design reinforces the idea that All of the Above is not about a singular aesthetic or vision but rather a continuously evolving space shaped by those who engage with it. It is an open canvas—one that invites participation, fosters collaboration, and remains dynamic enough to grow with the community it serves.
We faced challenges in maintaining a strong sense of community through digital touchpoints. Feedback revealed that members often lost track of All of the Above events amidst the overwhelming content on their social media feeds. To address this, creating a dedicated app emerged as the ideal solution—offering users a space to engage exclusively with All of the Above events, updates, and community interactions without distraction. Through user research, we identified that our target users prioritize inclusivity, event curation, clear focus, and seamless navigation.
The All of the Above app represents a strategic solution to the challenge of digital engagement, offering a dedicated space for the community to connect without the distractions of social media. While the app is still in development, the design process has already provided key insights into how intentional UX/UI decisions can foster a stronger sense of belonging and accessibility. Through user research and feedback, the app’s structure has been designed to streamline event discovery, encourage interaction, and ensure that All of the Above members can easily stay informed and engaged. Early prototype testing has indicated positive reception, with users expressing enthusiasm for a centralized hub that prioritizes their community experience. This project underscores the importance of designing with purpose—building a digital space that not only represents the brand but actively enhances how people connect, share, and flourish together.
