Universal Music Group
Introduction
Through my collaboration with Inside Projects—a Los Angeles-based boutique design agency—I had the privilege of working with Universal Music Group (UMG) and its iconic label, Motown Records. UMG is a global leader in music-based entertainment, while Motown is renowned for its rich legacy in shaping music and culture.

Description
During this partnership, I contributed to several impactful projects. I designed a billboard for Fire in Little Africa, a 21-track hip-hop album commemorating the centennial of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. The billboard helped amplify the voices of over 60 Oklahoma artists involved in the project. Additionally, I created a billboard for Black Dreamers, an initiative showcased at the Broccoli City Festival, which celebrated Black culture and entrepreneurship.
I also developed social media content for UMG’s Task Force for Meaningful Change, an initiative aimed at addressing social justice and equality issues. Lastly, I designed packaging for Motown’s Black Forum, a historic label relaunched to provide a platform for Black voices and perspectives.
In addition to these projects, I worked on various other design and marketing initiatives for UMG and Motown, further contributing to campaigns that elevated artists, cultural movements, and brand storytelling. These experiences allowed me to merge creative design with cultural significance, ensuring that every piece resonated with diverse audiences while honoring the rich histories they represent.
